- Telecom leaders will discuss strategies and solutions for smart cities at Madrid Automate camp 2023
- The event will be attended by leading telecommunications infrastructure operators: Vantage Towers, Cellnex, American Tower and Totem.
- The event will include presentations by innovation project representatives in Smart Cities from the city councils of Madrid and Dublin, ICLEI and the Smart Cities Network (RECI).
The Tower Automation Alliance is the organizer of the Automate Camp upcoming edition which will be focused on the challenges that TowerCos, Institutions and other industry stakeholders are facing when it comes to deploying smart cities solutions.
The event will consist of face-to-face keynotes panels and presentations delivered by top technological experts, and it will take place on September 21st 2023 in Madrid, Spain at COAM (Hortaleza, 63, 28004) from 9-14h.
Since the spread of the digital transformation process much has been said about how to turn a traditional city into a smart one. This involves the use of diverse technologies: Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotics, Cloud Computing, 5G networks… But what it is important is how organizations use it to get the greatest potential and if it is the right time to ask this question: Is telecom infrastructure and the architecture of the current network ready for the deployment of Smart Cities?
As for the participating organisations, the event will be attended by leading members of the main TowerCos operating in Spain and internationally: Vantage Towers, Cellnex, American Tower and Totem. These telecommunications tower operators will provide an exclusive insight into their importance, the opportunities they are identifying, and the challenges they face, as their role as responsible for critical infrastructure has become increasingly relevant in recent times.
In addition, the event will feature a round table with relevant institutions involved in the development of telecommunications infrastructure and Smart Cities. This round table will include members of the Smart Cities Network (RECI), the Association of Telecommunications Engineers, and Sandetel (Andalusian Society for the Development of Telecommunications), and will be moderated by Atrebo, a Spanish technology company with global critical infrastructure digitisation projects, and founder of the Tower Automation Alliance.
Perspectives on the challenges facing smart cities from the point of view of their stakeholders will be provided by the City Councils of Dublin and Madrid, and ICLEI, a global network of more than 2,500 local and regional governments committed to sustainable urban development.
The view of the companies involved in providing technical solutions for telecom network deployments and smart cities will be presented by members of the Tower Automation Alliance:
